K-ON ep 10 – Invasion of the Yuri music club, betrayal, training camp and more yuri.

Tsk tsk tsk… And seriously, I thought Azunyan was pretty steady in her preferences… This episode proved me wrong.  Azunyan must be the most corrupt of the bunch, scoring two more girls in a single episode, for a total of three girls.  Good job, Azunyan! However, Ritsu and Yui aren’t far behind! Who will be the Yuri Queen of this Season?! Who will walk away with the Shoujo-ai crown and all the hot girls?! Keep watching K-ON! After these commercials!

Wait… What was this series about again…? Oh YES! Fun, music and school… Ah well, might as well add yuri to that, cause this episode was a total yuri fest… Well, at least in my own distorted sense of fun 😛

So anyway, we already know Yui got Azunyan.  Or was it Azunyan that cleverly got Yui? Well anyway, the result is the same, it gives each of them one point in their Yuri Queen Race.  Moving on, Azunyan didn’t waste any time and scored another girl.  And it’s none other than Ui… OMG is it betrayal No 1?

So Ui apparently wants to know about how far Azunyan and her sister have gone (we ALL know by now that Ui is a total siscon) so she thinks of starting a discussion about the club and what does Azunyan think of the girls, after talking a bit about the previous camp (with Azunyan worrying whether they’ll practice at all).  So here’s how the discussion went:

Yui's into that, eh? Sounds hot... I wonder what she calls her when *coughcough* *nosebleed*

Tell us something we didn't know already... Oh, and any juicy details are welcome...

W-w-warm and f-f-f-f-fuzzy??? *coughcough* *x-rated mental image* *nosebleed*

Traitor!! So you're after Mio... And you're gonna do it Ui-style, too... You learn fast... traitor...

Azunyan says some “nice things” about Ritsu, which causes the latter to make an appearance and squeeze Azunyan.  Various things happen, talking about Mugi, calling her home, finding out she really is from a rich family and actually has the butler answer the phone while she’s at a summer resort in Finland, etc etc.  In the end, the three decide to visit lazy Yui, who’s being lazy as always.

Do you feel the subtle sexy vibes emanating from this... eh... stunning... mass of... eh... boredom?

Well... Each girl experiences her love for Yui in a very unique way...

Some other day afterwards, Ritsu and Yui (take note of that) visit Nutcase-sensei and invite her over to the training camp trip (you do remember this ep was gonna be about the training camp, right?)  Nutcase-sensei doesn’t seem interested until she hears something like “swimsuits” and “BBQ” but it’s too late.  The girls pack up and go out for training camp shopping.  Poor Azunyan thinks they’re gonna buy equipment but they are quick to ground her.  Azunyan was becoming frustrated again but shyMoe manages to calm her down.

Flag triggered. Moving on. Ritsu plans retaliation. Drama. Triangles. K-ON.

They finally go on their training camp trip and stay in one of Mugi’s SMALL, ABYSMALLY SMALL summer houses (again).  For Ritsu and Yui (take another note), fun must start now, but Mio (again) tries to invoke her “let’s practice first” motto.  This time she has Azunyan on her side.  It’s 2-2 now… Who will prevail?!

PLAY! PLAY! PLAY!

Oh? Is it official? Is it a new epic couple? YuixRitsu uber yuri?

Ritsu and Yui manage to get Azunyan to play with them.  Azunyan herself manages to get shyMoe scared in the process.  The girls generally have “harmless” fun in the beach…

That gives me Queen's Blade ep 9 vibes... scary...

Yui, so innocently aggressive, never lets a chance go to waste.

Ritsu overkill! And when shyMoe was getting over it, too.

Yui and Ritsu (yes, AGAIN) play castaways next, discovering a new continent after being washed out by the tides, an event that pushes their relationship evolve even more.

Waking up in an unfamiliar place... first thing you do is...

So, Ritsu... YOU can actually... practice... all night long? *gulp* *nosebleed*

And yes, this is our new kuroAzunyan, who apparently had too much fun in the end and got a complete tan.  Afterwards though, the girls do practice a bit and Azunyan marvels once again at Yui’s ability to tune her guitar instinctively (that’s how she scored Azunyan in the first place).  As is usual, SOMEONE has to go out of steam after a while, and that’s Ritsu today, with her spirit departing due to “famine”.   So it’s cooking and BBQ time!

WOOT! Is wedding around the corner?!

FINALLY having NORMAL, INNOC- ... shyMoe... what are you doing there with Ritsu...? >_>

After gorging themselves with some rather delicious-looking BBQ stuff, they light small fireworks in the evening (Gattai HanabiMan!).  Later Ritsu wants to have a test of courage, obviously to scare shyMoe AGAIN in this ep.  Well, shyMoe does get scared again, but not thanks to Ritsu.  At least, that helped Azunyan score another girl, which leads her to the top with a total of 3 girls (Yui, Ui -sister combo… maybe I should count that as extra- and shyMoe), as I’ve said in the beginning.

Nutcase-sensei, after getting lost in the forest, makes a spooky appearance and scares shyMoe off.  Ritsu gives up waiting to scare shyMoe and everyone takes a hot bath together.  Ritsu, being so nice to her number one girlfriend (she was her first… eh… friend… before they formed the club…), cheers shyMoe up.

*_* Sometimes I have seconds thoughts about who's my number one favorite... Hang in there, Yui!

Nutcase-sensei uses her fondling sensing ability on shyMoe and Azunyan and we move on.  After using the bathroom, Azunyan spots Yui practicing and practices with her.  Here’s a sample of their practice together.

Their training camp trip ends and Azunyan goes for a second date with Ui.  You gotta hand it to Azunyan, she takes care of all her relationships, she’s a good lov-… friend.  The episode ends nicely ^^

Yeah... we know... we've seen... Although I vote for RitsuxYui having the most fun 😛

Overall… Eh… Well… K-ON is a pretty standard watch each week.  While I wasn’t particularly fond of the whole emo-Azunyan in the previous ep, this episode made amends with pure fun, lots of bikini fanservice and endless yuri scenes… Well, you can scratch the yuri if you want, BUT IT’S THERE I TELL YOU! IT’S THERE! *laughs hysterically*

Not much else to talk about.  Truth be told, I wanted to use around 50 screenshots, but Mistress will get mad, so I had to drive it down… Anyway, about the episode… Everyone was their usual adorable self and even Azunyan was pretty nice in this ep.  We were also spared from most of Nutcase-sensei’s antics so that’s also a plus for this episode.  Azunyan seems to have finally blended with the group pretty well, so I suppose we’re ok there, too.  That’s more or less how I feel K-ON should be.  After a rather regrettable detour, it’s back to its usual self, so yay for that!

Next ep is about Yui’s guitar… Not sure what will be so interesting there, but it’s K-ON, so I expect to be entertained.  Have fun till then.
